The AI recruitment platform, explained

What is Motium?

Motium is an AI recruitment platform for employers. Its two AI interviewers, Wren and Steven, hold a live, face-to-face video conversation with every candidate for a role, ask only job-related questions, and score each candidate on six pillars using one 1 to 5 scale. The hiring team receives a report with every finding linked to the moment it was said in the recording, plus the full transcript. Motium never makes a hiring decision. Every advance or decline is made by a person on the hiring team, with a reason recorded. Motium is made by SLTR Digital LLC in Los Angeles and starts at $299 a month for 40 interviews, with unlimited roles.

Who it is for

Hiring teams that want every applicant interviewed, not just the ones who fit on a calendar. Candidates take the interview when it suits them, on a laptop or phone, so a team of two can interview forty candidates in a month without scheduling a single call.

How a Motium interview works

01
The employer drops in a job description as a PDF, a Word file (.docx) or pasted text. Motium drafts the role: qualifications, schedule and interview questions. Every question is checked so nothing about age, family, health, religion or any other protected subject is asked. The employer accepts, amends or rejects each question, then approves the role.
02
Each candidate receives a link that works for seven days, and chooses when to take the interview.
03
Wren or Steven interviews the candidate on camera for about thirty minutes, responding in real time, asking follow-up questions and answering the candidate's questions about the role. The candidate can pause or turn the camera off at any point, and is told at the start that the interviewer is an AI and that a person decides.
04
As the conversation happens, evidence for each pillar is captured in the candidate's own words. When the call ends, scores are built from that evidence, each with its reason and its moment in the recording.
05
Reviewers rate each candidate before they see Motium's scores. Every decision carries a reason, who made it, and when.

The six pillars

Every candidate for a role is scored on the same six pillars: skills and knowledge; problem-solving and judgment; execution and ownership; communication and collaboration; motivation and role alignment; and adaptability and integrity. The role sets which pillars carry the most weight.

The scale runs from 1, below requirements, to 5, exceptional. There is no overall score. If a pillar never got a fair question, the report says insufficient evidence rather than giving a low score. Confidence, charm, appearance and accent are never scored. How candidates are scored.

What makes Motium different

·
A person decides, by design. Motium recommends who deserves the team's time. It does not rank, reject or advance anyone.
·
Blind review. Each reviewer rates before seeing Motium's scores, so the AI's view does not anchor theirs.
·
Evidence you can replay. Every finding links to the moment in the recording where the candidate said it.
·
A signed record. Every question, answer, piece of evidence and score is written to a tamper-evident record as it happens, so an employer can show later what was asked, said and evaluated. A candidate's personal details can still be erased on request.
·
Two interviewers, one standard. Wren is warm and steady. Steven is direct and attentive. Both follow the same rules and score on the same scale.
·
Candidates are treated as people. They can ask about the work, the team and the schedule, pause, and ask for an accommodation.

What Motium does not do

Motium does not give candidates scores, feedback or reasons; candidates hear the outcome from the employer. It does not ask about protected characteristics. It does not make or automate the hiring decision.
